MMF'2017

The second edition of the festival took place over five days for the first time while finding multiple venues to support the delivery of the programme. This included a film programme at The Showroom Cinema, a curated programme by and hosted at DINA, exhibitions and workshops at The Arthouse with other events taking place at Sheffield Theatres and The Montgomery Theatre.

This second year programme saw a larger variety of events across multiple art forms, building new partnerships with venues across the city centre, and inviting back organisations from the refugee and migrant sector to be part of the wider programme.

The festival were joined by Inua Ellams and his groundbreaking An Evening With an Immigrant, the exceptional migrant led-troupe Rafiki Jazz set the tone at the opening party while PSYCHEdelight’s breakthrough piece Borderline closed the curtain on a joyous second year.
