MMF'2022
Our 7th Festival and perhaps most cathartic year saw a true return to the soulful festival we’d known and loved before the pandemic.
With a booming 60 events across 23 stages with headline artists including Seun Kuti son of the late pioneer and legend of Afro-beat Fella Kuti, beloved British poet and writer Lemn Sissy and Mali world music legendary band Les Amazones d'Afrique.
Refugee led collective Phosphoros Theatre returned with the triumphant All the Beds I’ve Slept In, while Akeim Toussaint-Buck (Toussaint to Move) wowed audiences with inspiring movement piece Windows of Displacement.
