ABOUT THE EVENT

Migration Matters Festival proudly presents this exceptional lineup of the UK’s most exciting comedic talent for an evening at The Montgomery!

Desiree Burch

Straight-talking New York-to-London transplant Desiree Burch is one of the UK’s unmissable breakout comedy stars.

The award winner has hosted and appeared on Live At The Apollo, as well as Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and hosts Netflix reality hit Too Hot To Handle.
Her frank, larger than life approach has resulted in sold-out tours, including at The Edinburgh Fringe and The Soho Theatre.
Winner of the 2015 Funny Women Award, Desiree is also a writer, actor and theatre maker.

‘The funniest comedian I have ever seen in person. She left me breathless with laughter’
- Scotsgay

Sikisa

Sikisa is a woman of eclectic talents. As well as being a critically-acclaimed stand-up, producer, and burlesque performer, she’s also a qualified immigration lawyer.

Her authenticity and vivacious on-stage presence makes her one of the most in demand acts/hosts on the comedy circuit.

As well as an impressive list of TV and radio credits, Sikisa has notched up the BBC New Comedy Award (2017) alongside other industry accolades. With two critically acclaimed sold out tours under her belt, she’s now a regular at flagship UK comedy venues.

"She is an irresistible force of nature"
- Beyond The Joke

Ignacio Lopez (MC)

Ignacio Lopez’s ‘crazy’ mix of Welsh and Spanish makes him one of the most unique voices in comedy.

His high gag-rate with individual style wows audiences, and he is a frequent headliner/MC in comedy clubs nationwide.

Ignacio, also known as ‘Spain’s best export’, has performed at comedy festivals and internationally as support for Canadian comedian Tom Stade. He has appeared on ITV’s Show Me The Funny, QI and Live At The Apollo, as well as racking up 40 million views across social media content.

“Sarcastic, witty, animated and most importantly - hilarious.”
