ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Containers for No Land’s Soil is a participatory ceramics workshop exploring migration, displacement, and belonging.
Through working with clay, participants will contribute to the creation of a shared ‘soil’—a symbolic foundation for a no-land that holds our collective hopes, memories, and reflections on home. This is a space for hands-on making, conversation, and connection, where we can explore what belonging means to us and what kind of world we hope to build together. No prior experience with clay is needed—just a willingness to engage, create, and share.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Taraneh Dana is a multidisciplinary artist working with ceramics, and installation to explore themes of belonging, memory, and displacement. Originally from Iran, her practice is deeply influenced by personal and collective experiences of migration. Through tactile and symbolic forms, she investigates how emotions and relationships take shape in physical space.
Taraneh has exhibited her work in the UK and internationally, including at New Art Exchange and Copeland Gallery. She also facilitates workshops that invite participants to reflect on identity and connection through hands-on making.
