ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Interior Landscapes is a photography exhibition that documents the everyday interior spaces of asylum accommodation in Sheffield. Developed through a partnership with City of Sanctuary Sheffield, the project focuses on the traces of presence and everyday activity, exploring the universality of the domestic, rather than portraying people directly, and inviting reflections on the UK asylum system.
The absence of the human figure suggests presence, and invites audiences to reflect on shared human rituals. The exhibition explores how to tell stories of forced migration ethically in hostile times and focus on humanity, intimacy, and resilience.
