Meet our guest curators for 2025’s Migration Matters

Weronika Dwornik is one of our new guest curators this year

Every year we invite new guest curators to introduce a fresh perspective - and outstanding events - to our Sheffield festival.

This year, we are proud to welcome Rumbi Tauro and Weronika Dwornik to Migration Matters Festival.
They are putting together unique strands for our tenth-anniversary event.

Rumbi’s events span community, music, art and gardening

Zimbabwean-born musician Rumbi is collating a diverse programme of music, conversation, collaborative art and therapeutic gardening called Roots and Routes.
You may also remember her from our 2023 festival when she supported Sauti Sol!

Polish-Belarusian theatre-maker, producer and facilitator Weronika's strand focuses on putting creativity at the heart of the community.
Their programme, Gather, features dynamic art experiences, an exploration of migration and heritage through music, and a chance to discuss your personal Utopia.
